In a bizarre attempt to distract from his lack of policies and agenda, former President Donald Trump recently made a spectacle of himself by pretending to work at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania. A video captured Trump donning an apron and attempting to operate the fast-food chain’s equipment, much to the bewilderment of onlookers.

The stunt was met with criticism and ridicule, with Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA) calling it out as a desperate ploy from a candidate who has failed to articulate any coherent economic plan. Lee also expressed concerns about Trump’s mental state, noting his erratic behavior and questionable activities throughout the campaign.

At 78 years old, Trump’s attempt at playing the role of an undercover fast-food employee came across as nothing more than a pathetic and embarrassing publicity stunt. It further highlighted his shallow and gimmicky approach to campaigning, relying on outdated tactics to appeal to voters.

Trump’s decision to visit a McDonald’s was reportedly influenced by his unfounded belief that Vice President Kamala Harris had lied about working at the chain as a teenager. However, the spectacle only served to underscore his lack of substance and his reliance on empty gestures to garner attention.

As the election draws near, voters have the opportunity to put an end to Trump’s antics once and for all. It is time to reject the theatrics and demand real leadership from those seeking to hold public office.
