On Thursday, Donald Trump momentarily stepped away from addressing a question about filibusters posed by Real America’s Voice correspondent Brian Glenn. During this pause, Trump aimed a jab at Glenn’s fiancée, former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.).
In the midst of his response, Trump paused and singled out Glenn in the audience.
“You know, you act so good. I love this guy. He’s a great guy,” Trump remarked.
He then added, “Even though I don’t love his girlfriend too much.”
This comment elicited laughter from the crowd.
Trump continued, “I won’t tell you who the girlfriend is. But I like him. And I’ve always liked him. It’s great that he hasn’t changed.”
Afterward, Trump resumed answering the original question.
In December, Greene and Glenn announced their engagement.
While Glenn seems to remain in Trump’s favor, the president has recently criticized Greene, labeling her “deranged” after she diverged from him on several issues. These include advocating for the release of all documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation and opposing his decisions regarding the Iran war.
