President Trump once again criticized Rep. Thomas Massie, a libertarian-leaning Republican, calling him a “loser” who consistently votes “NO!” on everything. This comes after Massie expressed openness to withdrawing legislation that would limit the president’s war powers.
“Third Rate Congressman Thomas Massie, of the Great Commonwealth of Kentucky, a phenomenal State that I won all three times (by a lot!), keeps talking about how he is going to protect the Constitution, but he is actually very bad for the Constitution,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
Trump has pledged to support a primary challenge against Massie in the upcoming 2026 midterm elections.
Massie, known for his criticism of Trump’s actions on Iran and opposition to certain bills, has also collaborated with Rep. Ro Khanna on a bipartisan resolution to limit US involvement in the Israel-Iran conflict.
Despite this, Massie recently indicated a willingness to withdraw the war powers resolution following a ceasefire announcement between Israel and Iran.
Trump’s criticism of Massie extends beyond his collaboration with Khanna, accusing him of wanting to raise taxes and labeling him a “RINO” and a “loser.”
Massie, however, remains unfazed by Trump’s attacks, joking about the president’s “war” on him and expressing confidence in his ability to retain his position.
Despite the ongoing feud, Massie remains focused on his work and fundraising efforts, confident in his ability to withstand Trump’s challenges.
