According to a Pennsylvania State Police report cited by CBS News, Crooks’ father, Matthew, noticed troubling behavior in his son following Thanksgiving that year. He witnessed Thomas dancing alone in his room at night, talking to himself with frantic hand gestures.

Even Crooks’ friend, Tristan Radcliffe, noticed a shift in his personality. Radcliffe recalled that Crooks became restless, constantly moving his legs and speaking rapidly.

But the most chilling discovery was made by the FBI – Crooks had been building deadly bombs in his bedroom and honing his marksmanship skills at a local firing range. He had even purchased a rifle from his father in 2023 to further his sinister plans.
