Two Secret Service Agents Suspended Following Viral Brawl Outside Obama’s Residence
In a rather surprising turn of events, two female Secret Service agents have been suspended after a physical altercation outside Barack Obama’s Washington, D.C. residence. The incident, which took place around 2:30 a.m. last Wednesday, quickly gained traction online as the footage circulated widely.
The confrontation reportedly sparked when one officer, delayed in her duty to relieve her colleague, arrived in an unorthodox vehicle choice. The situation escalated when audio recordings captured one officer demanding a supervisor, exclaiming, “Can I get a supervisor down to Delta two immediately before I whoop this girl’s a**?” Moments later, the two were seen exchanging punches.
By Tuesday, the Secret Service had confirmed to NBC News that both women had been suspended pending an investigation into the matter. Their official statement read: “The U.S. Secret Service is aware of an on-duty altercation that occurred between two Uniformed Division officers at approximately 2:30 a.m. on May 21. The individuals involved were suspended from duty, and this matter is the subject of an internal investigation.”
“The Secret Service maintains a stringent code of conduct for all employees, and any actions that deviate from this code are deemed unacceptable,” the statement continued. “As this is a personnel matter, we are unable to provide further comments at this time,” concluded the spokesperson.
