Two Men Injured in Late-Night Shooting Near Goose Island

Authorities responded to a shooting incident near Goose Island late Saturday night, resulting in two men being wounded after a fight broke out in a parking lot.

According to witnesses, the shooting took place around 11:40 p.m. in a parking lot near Holy Trinity Polish Catholic Church at 1118 North Noble Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 50-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his right thigh and calf. He was promptly transported to Stroger Hospital and is currently in stable condition.

The second victim, a 24-year-old man, was found inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head. He was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

Due to an unruly crowd at the scene, additional backup resources were called in to assist while first responders tended to the victims and conducted their investigation.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
