Two men were stabbed on Wednesday morning during the rush hour commute on a southbound 5 train passing through Grand Central Station. The victims, aged 28 and 38, sustained stab wounds to their stomachs, with the older man also being stabbed in the buttocks. The incident occurred around 7:20 a.m. at the 42nd Street-Grand Central station.
According to police, the stabbings were the result of a verbal dispute, although the exact nature of the altercation is not yet clear. It is uncertain whether the victims had any prior connection to the assailant.
Both injured individuals were promptly transported to Bellevue Hospital, where they are currently in stable condition. The suspect fled the scene following the attack and remains at large.
