ST. GEORGE, Utah — The transgender partner of the individual accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk seems to have vanished from their shared townhouse in Utah, leaving behind a pile of unopened mail as he faces increasing criticism for allegedly failing to report the accused after he confessed to the crime via text messages.
22-year-old Lance Twiggs, who has reportedly been in touch with law enforcement since his partner, Tyler Robinson, also 22, purportedly shot the co-founder of Turning Point USA during a speaking engagement on September 10, has reportedly gone missing, as indicated by neighbors in St. George, Utah, who spoke to The Post on Tuesday.
Mail was visibly accumulating outside the couple’s $1,800-per-month residence, amidst growing public backlash that has threatened Twiggs’ safety. Law enforcement remains present in the peaceful community even two weeks post Robinson’s arrest.
Neighbor Jesse Riley noted an absence of activity in the apartment, stating, “It’s surprising that something like this occurred here. It’s a quiet neighborhood, where people generally know their immediate neighbors, but still tend to keep to themselves.”
“I haven’t seen anyone come out. There are still the same notes on the door, which suggests that nobody has been in there,” he added.
Washington County Sheriff Nate Brooksby previously mentioned that Twiggs was in a “very safe and distant location” from St. George and needed time to “remain out of the public eye.”
Twiggs has not been implicated in any criminal activities related to Kirk’s murder but has been a key witness as Robinson’s primary confidant immediately following the incident.
Robinson reportedly left a note under Twiggs’ keyboard, instructing him to discover it following the shooting of Kirk.
The alleged shooter also texted Twiggs to confess about the murder, with Twiggs responding in shock, attempting to make sense of the unfolding situation.
As a transitioning transgender woman, Twiggs reportedly faced estrangement from her family, who were unaware of her relationship with Robinson.
In 2018, Twiggs was expelled from his family home for being deemed “problematic” and disrespectful by his father, according to a relative. The family member also suggested that Twiggs’ lifestyle included excessive gaming and issues potentially related to substance use.
Before moving in with Robinson, Twiggs stayed with his grandparents and later shared a space with college friends, who left after graduation, paving the way for Robinson to move in.
In 2022, Twiggs showed support for former President Biden and humorously remarked on receiving advertisements targeting various mental health conditions, including schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder.
