As the receiver was tackled out of bounds, an awkward landing resulted in a clear dislocation of his knee.
Medical staff swiftly attended to him, applying an air cast and promptly transporting him off the field on a cart.
Miraculously, Hill maintained a positive demeanor as he was wheeled into the locker room, flashing a smile and energizing the crowd amidst the chaos, before being whisked away for further evaluation.
Coach Mike McDaniel commented after the game that he was uncertain about Hill’s injury status; however, Adam Schefter broke the news the following day, indicating that Hill had torn multiple ligaments in his knee and would soon undergo surgery to address the damage.
Hill, a five-time All-Pro receiver, has racked up an impressive 265 receiving yards and one touchdown on 21 receptions in the Dolphins’ first four games of the season. Despite his absence, the team managed to clinch a victory against the Jets, yet currently finds itself struggling with a 1-3 record for the season.
