During an anti-Iran regime rally in Los Angeles, a U-Haul driver reportedly drove into a large crowd of protesters, injuring at least two individuals in a chaotic incident captured on video.
Authorities were called to the scene in Westwood after the U-Haul truck collided with an estimated 3,000 protesters around 3:40 p.m. local time, as per an LAPD spokesperson.
The rental truck, displaying the words âNO SHAH. NO REGIME. USA: DONâT REPEAT 1953. NO MULLAHâ on one side, was surrounded by protesters as tensions rose rapidly, according to intense footage from KABC.
The truck had pro-Iranian regime and anti-Iranian regime phrases on both sides, according to the police.
Two individuals were struck and sustained minor injuries, but both declined hospital transportation, as reported by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The driver, whose identity remains unknown, was apprehended by the police.
At the scene, officers were seen arresting a man after removing him from the truck, while enraged protesters allegedly attempted to assault him with flag poles, as per the outlet.
