U.S. 285 Closed in Colorado’s Mountains Due to Park County Crash
Early Tuesday morning, U.S. 285 was shut down in Colorado’s mountains following a crash in Park County, as reported by the Colorado Department of Transportation.
By 6:45 a.m., U.S. 285 had been blocked off in both directions from Colorado 9 in Fairplay to Geneva Creek near Grant, according to CDOT. The incident occurred approximately 16 miles north of Fairplay, officials confirmed.

Meanwhile, a stranded vehicle was causing further obstruction in the southbound lanes of U.S. 285 at Packer Road, around 12 miles north of Fairplay, as per CDOT’s report.
