DTE Energy Company (NYSE:DTE) has been recognized as one of the top performers in the electrical infrastructure sector in 2025. According to a report by TheFly on December 17, 2025, UBS analyst William Appicelli maintained a Buy recommendation on DTE Energy Company shares, with a slightly lowered price target of $151 from $155. This news comes after Jefferies upgraded DTE Energy Company from Hold to Buy on December 11, 2025, raising its price target from $149 to $150.

Jefferies analyst Julien Dumoulin-Smith has high hopes for DTE Energy Company, projecting an 8.1% compound annual EPS growth rate for the years 2026-2030. This optimistic outlook is driven by expectations related to data center prospects, with Jefferies adding 1.5 gigawatts of data center-associated demand to its projections for early 2026. Based on this development, Jefferies is confident in an EPS growth rate of over 8% through 2030.

However, not all analysts share the same enthusiasm for DTE Energy Company. JPMorgan recently lowered its price target for the company to $145 from $151, maintaining a Neutral rating. The adjustment was made following updates to the North American utilities business models.

DTE Energy Company primarily operates two regulated utilities in Michigan, which contribute to 90% of its earnings. DTE Electric serves over 2.3 million customers in southeastern Michigan, including the city of Detroit.
