Ukraine has sanctioned three Chinese companies after Zelenskyy accused China of supplying weapons to Russia. The sanctioned companies will no longer be able to do business in Ukraine and their assets in the country will be frozen.

Zelenskyy announced sanctions on a Chinese aeronautics firm and two industrial component companies registered in China.

Zelenskyy’s claim about China supplying weapons to Russia has caused tensions, especially after videos of captured Chinese men fighting with Russian forces surfaced. China denies these allegations.

China’s foreign ministry spokesperson reiterated China’s stance on the Ukraine issue and emphasized their efforts towards promoting peace talks. Analysts note Ukraine’s shift from neutrality towards China.
