Unifrance has recently announced the lineup for the upcoming 15th edition of Series Mania, scheduled to take place from March 21 to 28. With a diverse selection of 48 series from 20 different countries, including 22 French shows, the festival promises to be a treat for both TV enthusiasts and industry professionals.
The Series Mania Forum, the festival’s industry component, will be held from March 25 to 27, attracting over 4,200 professionals from more than 70 countries. As part of this forum, Unifrance will present the tenth Coming Next from France on March 25, shining a spotlight on five new French series that are expected to make a significant impact on the international market. These series, such as “Kitchen Hustle,” “Fake,” “Don’t Know,” “Montmartre,” and “Jailbreakers,” have been carefully selected to showcase the diversity and innovation of French scripted TV.
“Kitchen Hustle,” produced by CG Cinema, follows the story of three women aspiring to work in high-end dining but facing challenges in a toxic and misogynistic environment. In “Fake,” produced by Good Cop, the protagonist Victoire, a medical secretary and graphic designer, turns to counterfeiting to solve her family’s financial troubles.
Other French series to be showcased at Series Mania include “Don’t Know,” a production of 3e Ĺ’il Story, “Montmartre” from Banijay’s Authentic Prod, and “Jailbreakers” from Le MĂ©redienne. These series cover a range of genres and themes, from mystery and drama to thriller and crime.
French drama continues to make waves on the global stage, with exports reaching €74.5 million ($77.8 million) in 2023, a significant increase from the average over the past decade. Unifrance’s presence at Series Mania goes beyond just showcasing content, as the organization will also host networking events and provide dedicated spaces for its members to connect and collaborate.
French series will be prominently featured across various sections of the festival, including the Opening and Closing ceremonies, International Competition, Panorama, and more. Esteemed figures from French TV and cinema, such as actress Karin Viard and composer Victor Le Masne, will be part of the juries, adding a touch of glamour to the event.
With a lineup of 22 French series at Series Mania 2025, including titles like “CarĂŞme,” “High Intellectual Potential,” “Kabul,” and “Mussolini: Son of the Century,” the festival is set to offer a rich and diverse viewing experience for attendees. From documentaries to drama series, French content continues to captivate audiences both locally and internationally.
