The women’s basketball league Unrivaled has entered into a partnership with Studio71 to enhance its digital outreach and amplify its social media engagement, particularly on platforms like YouTube.
This collaboration signifies a pivotal moment for both Unrivaled and Studio71. As a nascent sports organization, Unrivaled requires a strong footing in major social media channels to effectively connect with fans and potential audiences for its three-on-three basketball events. A central objective for Studio71 is to drive subscriptions to Unrivaled’s YouTube channel.
“Unrivaled is on a mission to transform the landscape of women’s basketball and revolutionize the connection between athletes and fans,” stated John Learing, the chief content officer of Unrivaled. “Partnering with Studio71 allows us to narrate our athletes’ journeys, highlight their skills, and attract new audiences across all platforms where fans are engaged.”
Founded in 2022, Unrivaled kicked off its inaugural season earlier this year. By 2026, the league plans to expand significantly with several new teams. Studio71 aims to generate excitement and conversation around the league through branded content and heightened interaction with basketball enthusiasts. The agency will concentrate on growing the audience and will create game highlights and clips to leverage Unrivaled’s media rights globally.
“Unrivaled is pioneering the future of sports entertainment with cutting-edge coverage, star appeal, and a fan-centric approach,” remarked Adam Boorstin, Co-CEO of Studio71. “We are thrilled to employ our skills in channel management and content strategy to broaden Unrivaled’s global reach.”
Unrivaled was co-founded by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart.
