A New Chapter: US Intelligence and Ukrainian Strikes Deep into Russia

Despite halting direct funding for Ukraine’s military endeavors, the United States remains a pivotal player in the ongoing conflict with Russia, supporting Ukraine through intelligence-sharing and the sale of military equipment to European nations.

These EU countries then supply this armament to Ukraine, effectively creating a web of indirect support that keeps the Ukrainian resistance alive. Moreover, the US continues to supply critical intelligence from a myriad of sources, including satellite imagery, reconnaissance aircraft, and signals intelligence.

Recent reports suggest an escalation in this support, with plans for the US to deliver intelligence specifically designed to aid Ukraine in launching long-range missile assaults on Russian targets.

According to The Telegraph, US officials are ready to permit Kyiv to target energy infrastructures well within Russian borders and are even contemplating the provision of weaponry that could extend Ukraine’s striking capabilities.

This move is emblematic of a broader strategy to undermine Russia’s economic foundation by disrupting its energy exports.

“Ukraine has greatly benefited from American intelligence throughout the conflict, but Kyiv has sought further assistance to target Russian oil refineries, pipelines, and power stations to deprive the Kremlin of crucial revenue,” sources indicate.

In a related development, Donald Trump has called upon EU nations to cease purchasing Russian oil if they expect him to advocate for stronger sanctions against Moscow.

This intelligence-sharing decision arrived just before Trump hinted on social media that Ukraine has the potential to reclaim ‘all its territory’ occupied by Russia.

“Given the economic repercussions the war is inflicting on Russia, I believe Ukraine, with robust EU support, can reclaim its land,” Trump articulated on Truth Social last Tuesday, shortly after his discussion with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
