In a recent video, conservative historian Victor Davis Hanson directs a scathing critique at CNN’s Jake Tapper regarding Tapper’s new book that addresses Joe Biden’s cognitive decline. Hanson accuses Tapper and his media colleagues of neglecting this crucial topic until now, suggesting that the timing of the discussion is tied to Biden’s waning influence within the political arena.
Hanson provocatively suggests that Tapper’s failure to address these issues sooner should cost him his job. He questions Tapper’s silence on significant controversies, such as the alleged Russia collusion and the Hunter Biden laptop saga.
Here’s a partial transcript courtesy of the Daily Signal:
Why did Jake Tapper wait until now to write this? Because he understood the repercussions. A year ago, a call from the White House would have ensured no CNN correspondent would be welcome at a press conference or granted an interview. So, he chose silence.
Now, in a rather cowardly display, he shifts the blame to the White House cover-up. What he omits is that this cover-up was facilitated by the very networks—CNN, MSNBC, PBS, NBC, ABC, CBS—that conspired with the administration to not only minimize but also attack those who dared to mention Biden’s cognitive issues.
The crux of the matter is that these outlets prioritized the protection of a leftist agenda, using Biden—a mere puppet—while obscuring the true powers at play behind the scenes. We remain in the dark about who was truly steering the ship, with suspicions pointing towards the Obama administration.
Ultimately, their focus was on preserving this agenda at all costs, which involved deception, cover-ups, and, most disconcertingly, vilifying those who sought to reveal the truth about Joe Biden.
For those interested, you can watch both the short and long versions of the video below. Here’s a brief excerpt from the short version:
Victor Davis Hanson absolutely demolishes Jake Tapper: “One of the greatest acts of moral duplicity I’ve seen in my lifetime.”
Brutal. And 100% accurate:
“Joe Biden has got cancer. He’s written off. He’s in decline. The family is disgraced. It’s easy now to write about that.”… pic.twitter.com/SoQBSodVH8

In the longer version, it becomes clear that Tapper is aware of the validity of Hanson’s claims but seems unfazed by the implications of his own complicity in the media’s narrative.
