The mainstream media’s credibility seems to be wilting like a flower under a relentless sun.
Given the cascade of misinformation and sensationalist narratives forced upon the American populace, it’s astonishing that any semblance of trust remains.
According to a recent piece by The Gateway Pundit, fundamental integrity in journalism has taken a backseat, especially since 2018.
In an ironic twist of fate, the purveyors of the “Russia collusion” saga at The Washington Post and New York Times proudly accepted a Pulitzer Prize for their âinvestigativeâ prowess, only for the nation to later grasp that the entire narrative was a carefully constructed sham aimed at undermining Trump’s presidency.
Yet, no reporter displayed the moral fortitude to relinquish their accolade for delivering a false narrative.
Moreover, a recent Gallup poll reveals an alarming decline in public confidence: trust in the media has plummeted to its lowest levels in history.
A mere 8% of Republicans currently report trust in mass media, while just over half (51%) of Democrats appear to maintain a flickering faith.
This stark partisan division underscores the polarization of our current political landscape.
In light of the tumultuous events of the past few years, who could reasonably retain any trust in the so-called journalism so often branded as ‘fake news’?
The media has undeniably earned its reputation for deceit.
Trust them at your own peril.
