Former WWE and AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson was recently spotted training in the ring with his wife, Brie Bella. Brie also shared an emotional message about her upcoming WrestleMania 42 match.
Bryan Danielson has stepped away from active competition following his full-time retirement announcement after his final match at WrestleDream 2024. Known as The American Dragon, he has been serving as a commentator for AEW over the past few months. However, he has now returned to the ring for some training.
Brie Bella, a WWE Superstar and Danielson’s wife, posted a video on Instagram showing her training in the ring with Danielson as she prepares for her significant match at WrestleMania 42 this weekend. In her post, she included the following caption:
“WrestleMania week starts NOW 💥✨ Come with me as I kick off my road to Vegas… from training with Bryan (and the kids jumping in 😅), to packing for one of the biggest weeks, getting my wellness in, and soaking up a little garden time with my chickens before it’s go time. First stop: LA. Next stop: Vegas 🎰 Let’s do this 💫 #himynameisbrie”
Brie will partner with Nikki Bella to challenge Nia Jax and Lash Legend for the Women’s tag titles in a four-way tag match, which also includes the teams of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, as well as Bayley and Lyra Valkyrie.
MJF Recently Broke Character to Praise Bryan Danielson
Bryan Danielson has received commendations from MJF, a former AEW World Champion. During his appearance on Games with Names, Max compared Danielson to NFL legend Tom Brady, labeling him as the GOAT. MJF also suggested that The American Dragon might return to the ring, despite being in a soft-retired state:
“I would say he’s Tom Brady. Definitely GOAT status. He’s like soft retired right now. I don’t know if he’ll ever come out of retirement. He’s a sicko, so he probably will because he can never get enough, much like Brady. If you talk to wrestling fans and you say, ‘Who’s one of the greatest wrestlers, bell-to-bell, all time, GOAT,’ they’ll say Dragon,” Max stated.
Only time will tell if Bryan Danielson will make his way back to in-ring competition sooner rather than later.
