Terrifying Daylight Shooting in the Bronx Caught on Surveillance Video

In a shocking incident that unfolded in broad daylight, a masked assailant unleashed a barrage of gunfire on a busy Bronx street on Tuesday evening, injuring two individuals in a reckless act that has left the community shaken.

Disturbing surveillance footage, acquired by The Post, reveals the chilling moment when a gunman clad in a ski mask and all-black attire dashed across a street in Belmont with his firearm drawn. The chaotic scene erupted just before 6 p.m.

According to law enforcement officials, the assailant struck a 36-year-old man multiple times, while a 35-year-old woman was grazed by a stray bullet during the frightening incident that took place on Webster Avenue, situated between East 186th and East 187th Streets.

The assailant continued to fire as he fled the scene, prompting nearby bystanders to duck for cover and rush into their residences to escape the gunfire, as shown in the footage.

After the shooting, the suspect was seen heading eastbound on 187th Street, according to witnesses.

The victimized man sustained injuries to his right leg, right hip, and right ankle, with gunshots to each area. The woman, aged 35, was reported to have been grazed on her left leg.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) swiftly transported both victims to St. Barnabas Hospital, where they are currently being treated and reported to be in stable condition.

Authorities found eleven shell casings at the scene, indicating the severity of the shooting.

As of now, police have described the shooter as a male wearing a black hoodie, but no arrests have been made, and the motive behind this brazen attack remains unclear.
