A Community in California Holds Vigil for Celeste Rivas Hernandez
A vigil was held in Lake Elsinore, California, for Celeste Rivas Hernandez, a 15-year-old girl whose dismembered body was found in the trunk of an abandoned Tesla registered to singer D4vd. The community gathered on Sunday evening in memory of the teen who had disappeared from her home in 2024.
A makeshift memorial for Celeste has been set up on the street where she used to live, adorned with flowers and heartfelt messages from her loved ones. One banner at the site reads “Justice for Celeste Rivas.”
Discovery of Celeste’s Body
Celeste’s mutilated body was discovered on September 8 in the trunk of a Tesla sedan at a Hollywood Hills impound lot. The car is owned by 20-year-old singer D4vd, also known as David Anthony Burke. Celeste had a tattoo on her right index finger that read “Shhh…” similar to one that D4vd has.
She was found wearing a tube top, black leggings, and a yellow bracelet with metal stud earrings. Her body was wrapped in plastic and was in a decomposed state, leading to the emission of a foul odor.
Community Support and Investigation
The community has come together to support Celeste’s family during this tragic time. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family with laying Celeste to rest.
Meanwhile, D4vd has cancelled his upcoming shows and is cooperating with authorities in the investigation. His scheduled appearance at the Grammy Museum and upcoming European tour dates have been cancelled in light of the ongoing investigation.
