Summary Highlights

  • Announcement of Vivo X300 Pro and X300
  • Noteworthy camera features
  • Regrettably limited market availability

Official details have emerged regarding the Vivo X300 Pro and X300 smartphones, showcasing impressive specifications amid uncertainty about their release timeline.

The latest flagship devices from Vivo are poised to offer a compelling mix of top-tier features and budget-friendly pricing, although availability may pose a challenge for many consumers.

Both models are powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset, which is expected to provide noteworthy competition to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

The Pro variant boasts a 6.78-inch LTPO display with a resolution of 1260 x 2800, while the standard X300 has a slightly smaller 6.31-inch LTPO screen at 1216 x 2640. Both screens support a 120Hz refresh rate and include ultrasonic fingerprint readers.

The standout feature of these devices is undoubtedly their camera systems. Each model includes a striking 200MP Samsung HPB image sensor; however, the Pro utilizes it for its telephoto lens, while the base model incorporates it as the primary camera.

The main camera on the Vivo X300 Pro is a 50MP Sony LYT-828 sensor, equipped with a gimbal stabilization feature. On the other hand, the standard model features a 50MP Sony LYT-602 APO sensor for telephoto shots.

Additionally, the Pro model is compatible with Vivo’s telephoto extender lens, which was also revealed alongside the Vivo X200 Ultra earlier this year.

Both smartphones also come with a pair of 50MP Samsung JN1 sensors—one for ultra-wide photography and the other for selfies.

The Pro variant is powered by a 6,510mAh battery, while the standard X300 has a slightly smaller 6,040mAh battery.

However, this substantial battery and camera technology results in the X300 Pro weighing a hefty 226g and having a thickness of 7.99mm. In contrast, the Vivo X300 is lighter at 190g and slightly thinner at 7.95mm. Both models boast an IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance rating.

Pricing and Availability of Vivo X300

Now, onto the issue of availability. Vivo has ceased its operations in the UK, similar to the previous year’s Vivo V30 Pro, making a UK launch unlikely.

Nevertheless, the X300 lineup is expected to roll out in select European markets. For instance, there is a dedicated page for the new series on its Italian website.

In China, the Vivo X300 Pro is priced starting at ¥5,299 (approximately £559), while the standard model begins at ¥4,399 (around £464).
