In a recent statement, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller addressed New York Attorney General Letitia James’s claims of being above the law regarding potential mortgage fraud allegations.
“She is guilty of numerous serious, ongoing criminal offenses,” Miller asserted, labeling her as “one of the most corrupt and shameless individuals to ever occupy a public office.”
As previously reported by , the Trump Administration has referred Attorney General James to the Department of Justice (DOJ) for prosecution amid allegations surrounding mortgage fraud.

In response to the allegations, James claimed during a Thursday night appearance that she is merely a target of a “right-wing revenge tour.”
It is important to note that Letitia James campaigned for the New York Attorney General position in 2018 on a promise to actively challenge then-President Trump, whom she labeled as “illegitimate.” She pledged to “shine a bright light” on his real estate dealings, suggesting an aggressive approach to accountability.
Miller further claimed that James is “guilty of countless more crimes by misusing her public office in an effort to persecute an innocent man, violating his rights and engaging in conspiratorial actions to undermine our electoral process.” This comment was a direct rebuttal to her “revenge tour” narrative.
The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) has accused Letitia James of manipulating property records, specifically regarding a five-unit property in New York that she allegedly misrepresented as a four-unit property to secure more favorable mortgage terms.
Recent reports have highlighted James’s dealings with a property in Brooklyn, which she purchased in 2001. For over two decades, she maintained on mortgage applications that the property had four units, despite official records indicating five units.
This alleged misrepresentation parallels accusations against President Trump in a separate case brought by James, wherein she alleged he inflated asset values for better loans and insurance deals. Notably, a judge in her case absurdly assessed Trump’s 20-acre Mar-a-Lago estate at just $18 million, claiming he fraudulently inflated its worth.
When questioned about James’s accusations, Stephen Miller did not hold back, criticizing her for her own legal missteps and violations of the law.

Reporter: Letitia James says the allegations against her are merely a revenge tour orchestrated by the Trump administration. What’s your take?
Miller: My take is that Letitia James stands as one of the most corrupt and shameless figures in public office. She is guilty not just of these crimes but also of numerous additional offenses stemming from her abuse of power in an attempt to persecute an innocent man, infringing upon his rights while engaging in efforts to obstruct our electoral processes and undermine democracy itself. She is indeed guilty of multiple substantial criminal violations.
