This morning, President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will usher in the White House Easter Egg Roll, a cherished event that has graced the South Lawn for nearly 150 years.
Dating back to 1978, this tradition is not merely an occasion for children to hunt for eggs; it’s a symbol of resilience and continuity in American culture.
This year, the festivities will carry a distinctly patriotic flair, coinciding with the nation’s preparations for a grand celebration of the 250th anniversary of America’s founding. According to an announcement from the Office of the First Lady:
WASHINGTON, D.C. – First Lady Melania Trump unveiled the plans for the 2025 White House Easter Egg Roll, outlining a plethora of engaging activities set to take place on the South Lawn on Monday, April 21, 2025.
