Trump Announces Military Strikes on Iranian Nuclear Sites
In a dramatic announcement on Saturday evening, President Trump declared that the United States has conducted airstrikes on three critical nuclear facilities in Iran.
“We have successfully completed our attack on three nuclear sites in Iran, specifically targeting Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All aircraft have exited Iranian airspace safely. A full payload of bombs was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. Our planes are now on their way home. Congratulations to our brave American warriors—no other military in the world could have accomplished this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” Trump proclaimed on Truth Social.
According to sources from Reuters, B-2 Bombers were utilized in the strikes.
Later, Trump announced he would address the nation at 10 PM ET from the White House.
“I will be giving an Address to the Nation at 10:00 P.M. regarding our very successful military operation in Iran. This is an HISTORIC MOMENT FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ISRAEL, AND THE WORLD. IRAN MUST NOW AGREE TO END THIS WAR. THANK YOU!” Trump elaborated on Saturday.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump claimed that the Fordow facility was “totally obliterated” by six bunker-busting bombs.

During his address, Trump was flanked by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Vice President JD Vance.
Expressing gratitude, Trump thanked the military and acknowledged a higher power in his brief remarks. Here’s a summary of his address:
A short time ago, the U.S. military carried out significant, precision strikes on three key nuclear facilities in the Iranian regime: Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. These names have echoed for years as Iran built its destructive nuclear enterprise.
Our objective was to dismantle Iran’s nuclear enrichment capabilities and mitigate the nuclear threat posed by the world’s leading state sponsor of terror.
Tonight, I can proudly announce that the strikes were a resounding military success. Iran’s nuclear facilities have been completely obliterated. The regional bully must now pursue peace. Should they refuse, future attacks will be even more severe and potentially easier to execute.
For 40 years, Iran has chanted “Death to America, death to Israel,” while inflicting casualties on our people through roadside bombs. Over 1,000 lives have been lost, with countless more affected worldwide due to their hatred, particularly instigated by their general, Qassim Soleimani. I resolved long ago that we would not allow this to continue.
I want to extend my thanks to Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu; our collaboration has been unprecedented in addressing this grave threat to Israel. I also commend the Israeli military for their commendable efforts. Most importantly, I salute the American patriots who piloted those magnificent aircraft tonight, and all members of the U.S. military for executing an operation unlike any seen in decades.
Hopefully, we will not need to engage in such operations again. I sincerely hope for peace. However, I must stress that this cannot persist. There will either be peace or tragedy for Iran, far worse than what we have witnessed in recent days. Remember, there are many targets remaining. Tonight’s mission was the most challenging, and we executed it with precision. Should peace not be swiftly attained, we will address those other targets with similar efficiency. There’s no military in the world capable of what we achieved tonight—not even close.
Tomorrow at 8 a.m., General Caine and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth will hold a press conference at the Pentagon. I want to thank everyone involved, and especially God. We love you, God, and cherish our military. Protect them. God bless the Middle East. God bless Israel and God bless America. Thank you.
