It’s clear that bold colors are making a strong comeback. Users on Instagram and the Vogue app have identified vibrant hues as a leading summer trend. In a group chat on the app in July, participants discussed experimenting with color combinations like pink and red, as well as contrasting shades. More recently, in a group chat last week, when prompted to identify a key summer trend, participants highlighted vivid colors, particularly teal and turquoise. (It seems many are embracing those summer blues…) Interestingly, polka dots emerged as the top trend. (Recall when dot cakes went viral in June? Not entirely unrelated…)
This summer, we devoted an entire week to exploring how striking colors transitioned from the runway to street style and eventually into our wardrobes. Alexandra Hildreth, known for her all-black attire, donned bright hues at the office for a week, while Christian Allaire concluded that red has become a neutral. We hailed the new Kings of Color. Clearly, Vogue readers are eager to embrace this trend.
