Under Reform UK, Britain is poised to reassess its approach to welfare benefits, aligning more closely with practices observed in many developed countries.
Today’s pivotal event in the landscape of UK politics occurred at the Reform UK party conference held at the Doncaster Racecourse in South Yorkshire.
In a move that surprised precisely no one, the focal point of the gathering authored an urgent call to arms against rampant mass migration.
The Telegraph reported:
“Nigel Farage opened the Reform press conference by stating: ‘We have talked extensively about illegal immigration and the ongoing crises in the Channel. The public is deeply concerned regarding the scale and perceived unfairness of illegal immigration, not to mention the string of promises from successive governments that have seemingly led to little change. And on a day when 1,050 migrants arrived, the government could only boast about returning three to France.’”
Among the key pronouncements at the conference was a firm policy aimed at ceasing welfare benefits for non-British citizens.
“Far too many who arrive do not possess skills, haven’t ever contributed to the labor market, and may never do so. It’s essential to grasp the reality that an overwhelming proportion of these individuals are low-skilled workers earning meager wages, promptly reshaping our welfare obligations into a daunting financial burden. Reform UK is committed to implementing substantial cuts to welfare expenditures.”

At the conference, Farage took a critical stance against the legacy of former Conservative Prime Minister Boris Johnson regarding legal immigration policies.
“In a Reform government, welfare will remain an exclusive privilege for UK citizens and will not extend to foreign nationals. In being more like other standard nations, we shine a light on what I call the ‘Boriswave’—the vast influx of migrants during his tenure after 2019. This represents a significant departure from the democratic intent that Brexit voters expressed, which contrasts sharply with the expectations of any Conservative voter from the last decade.”
‘This will lead us to financial ruin!’
Nigel Farage warns that Reform will abolish Indefinite Leave to Remain, potentially allowing nearly a million migrants from the ‘Boris wave’ to access full benefits along with dependents.
