Wendy Williams Continues Legal Battle with Lifetime Over Documentary
Wendy Williams has been in a legal battle with Lifetime over the release of a documentary series about her life. She initially tried to prevent the network from airing the documentary, but an appellate court judge ruled that doing so would violate the First Amendment.
Despite her efforts, the documentary was set to be released. Just days before its premiere, Williams’ lawyer, Morrissey, filed a complaint against Lifetime and the production companies involved. However, it was later revealed that the original complaint was never served.
Months later, on September 16, Morrissey filed an amended complaint that was properly served to A&E Television Networks, Entertainment One Reality Productions, Lifetime Entertainment Services, Creature Films, and the documentary’s director, Mark Ford.
The legal battle between Wendy Williams and Lifetime continues as both parties stand their ground. It remains to be seen how this dispute will unfold in the coming weeks.
