SPOILER ALERT: This post contains spoilers from the first three episodes of “The Traitors” Season 3, currently streaming on Peacock.
As soon as the third season of “The Traitors” kicks off, viewers are met with a surprising twist. Fan-favorite Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano is conspicuously absent from the initial group of contestants who arrive at the castle. Instead, he is brought out in a cloak and mask, presenting the rest of the cast with a choice. If one of them steps forward to shake his hand, he will join the group, but at the cost of immediately executing another player.
Despite tensions between certain reality TV stars like Britney Haynes and Danielle Reyes, no one is willing to make such a drastic move so early in the game. Ultimately, Rob is left standing alone as the group decides to let him go.
However, Rob’s departure is short-lived. In a surprising turn of events, he is approached by Alan Cumming in the woods and offered a chance to re-enter the game as a traitor. Rob joins forces with three other chosen Traitors: Danielle Reyes, Bob the Drag Queen, and Carolyn Wiger.
To add to the intrigue, Rob is not the only one re-entering the game. Two-time “Challenge” champion Wes Bergmann and “Big Brother” winner Derrick Levasseur also join the cast, but as Faithfuls.
Don’t miss out on the latest episodes of “The Traitors,” airing every Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
