West Wilson has shared details about his recent filmed discussion with Summer House co-star Kyle Cooke, following the confirmation of his relationship with Kyle’s estranged wife, Amanda Batula.
On the Monday, May 25, episode of the âShow Me Somethingâ podcast, co-hosted by West and WNBA player Sophie Cunningham, the 31-year-old reality star revealed that he met with Kyle, 43, last week to address the controversy surrounding Summer House. Previously, Kyle suggested that he was planning to have a one-on-one conversation with West for the first time since the news of West’s involvement with Amanda, 34, surfaced in March.
âIâm not going to say [weâre] good. Nothingâs, like, perfect right now, but we talked for like three hours on Wednesday,â West explained. âIâm not sure if Iâm allowed to say we filmed a scene or not. I donât know if it was for Summer House or for In the City.â
West continued, âI offered. I was like, âDude, Iâm not trying to get to a better place with you for this f***ing show. I do care about you as a friend, and this doesnât need to be filmed.â Kyle was like, âThis all happened. Our lives have been on camera. Might as well just film it.ââ
West mentioned that the recent conversation with Kyle was more composed compared to their earlier interaction at the Summer House season 10 reunion, which was filmed in April and will begin airing on Tuesday, May 26, on Bravo.
âIâm glad we did [it] because it was obviously awkward and weird to start, but I think we made a lot of progress. It was not a gunfight. It was very calm and peaceful and trying to hear each other and get to a better place,â he said. âI really appreciate him doing that. One, just hearing me out, and two, being nice about it, and three, ending on that note will probably be better for me because it was a much better environment to talk about everything than the reunion was. When the reunion ends, odds are not great for me, so that opportunity, I really appreciate him for.â
Sophie, 29, asked West if Kyle seemed to be in a âgood spotâ after a challenging start to 2026. In January, Kyle and Amanda announced their separation after four years of marriage, and by March, Amanda and West disclosed that they were dating.
âIt would be weird if I said âyeah.â Heâs in a situation now thatâs f***ing so bizarre and Iâm half the reason heâs in it,â West responded. âBut I do think thereâs greener grass for him moving forward. Unfortunately, right now, itâs just a weird spot. ⊠Heâs been so great. Itâs just a s***** situation.â
West also noted that the reunion is far from gentle but hopes it will provide a chance for everyone to express their feelings, leading to a more cordial environment afterward as he aims to rebuild relationships with his Summer House castmates.
