Comedian Tim Dillon, known for his presence in the online “manosphere” and credited with helping Donald Trump’s return to the White House, criticized the “optics” of a recent party held at the president’s Mar-a-Lago resort this weekend.
Dillon, a podcast-world Trump ally who has become increasingly critical of the president, shared footage of performers in period costumes and dog masks at the American Humane Society’s 15th Annual Hero Dog Awards Gala, which took place earlier this month.
“What the heck is that? What the heck is that?” Dillon questioned.
While acknowledging that people are free to dress as they please, Dillon raised concerns about hosting such an extravagant event at the president’s residence during a time of escalating cost-of-living crisis, immigration tensions, global unrest, and instability.
“It appears that the purpose of everything is to demoralize you to the extent that the insanity is undeniable,” he stated.
“It’s like the apocalypse,” Dillon continued. “It doesn’t matter what the event was for. Who cares about its purpose?”
