WhatsApp Gets a Major New Feature – Here’s How to Use Lists

The latest WhatsApp feature announced by Meta brings a new level of organization to your chats: Lists. This feature allows you to finally sort and manage your contacts in a more efficient way.

To access Lists, simply swipe to the right at the top of your WhatsApp screen, below the search bar. You will see options for ‘All’, ‘Unread’, and ‘Favourites’, as well as a plus symbol to create your own custom lists. You can name these lists as you wish and add contacts to them right away. Editing or deleting a list is also easy – just hold your finger on the list name to make changes.

Lists can be used to group your contacts in a variety of ways, such as separating work contacts from personal contacts or organizing family members. You can include both individual chats and group chats in your lists for easy access.

One thing to note is that if you have archived a chat with a contact you want to add to a list, you will need to unarchive the chat first before it will show up in your custom list.

The new WhatsApp Lists feature was initially released to some users on October 31st and is expected to be available to all compatible devices in the near future. Keep an eye on the Google Play Store or iOS App Store for updates to ensure you don’t miss out on this handy new feature.
