WhatsApp Enhances Video Calling Features Ahead of the Holidays
WhatsApp recently announced the addition of new video calling features just in time for the holiday season. These updates include the ability to select participants for group video calls, improved resolution, and a revamped call tab on the desktop version of the app. This move by Meta demonstrates the platform’s commitment to offering a comprehensive solution for both personal and professional video calls, competing with the likes of Google Meet and Zoom.
One of the standout features is the option to select specific participants when initiating a group video call. While WhatsApp already allows users to call entire group chats, this new feature gives users more control over who they include in the call, making it easier to have more targeted conversations without disturbing the entire group.
