Election Day has arrived in New York City, with over a million voters expected to head to the polls to elect the next mayor. The candidates in the spotlight include Zohran Mamdani, Andrew Cuomo running as an independent, and Curtis Sliwa.

Aside from the mayoral race, there are other city offices and propositions on the ballot, making this election cycle quite eventful.

Polling Information

Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 9 p.m. If you’re in line before closing time, your vote will be accepted. Stay patient!

Results and Resources

Results will start coming in shortly after polls close, with media outlets projecting a mayoral winner after 10 p.m. For polling place information, use the city’s online tool to find your designated location.

Voter Information

Registration closed on Oct. 25, and valid ID is not required on Election Day if provided during registration. Various other races and propositions are also on the ballot for voters to consider.
