White House Blasts Selena Gomez for Crying Over Deportations

In a recent video released by the White House, Selena Gomez is under fire for a tearful Instagram post where she expressed concern over the deportations of undocumented immigrants by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The post was quickly deleted by Gomez after facing backlash from conservative critics who accused her of showing empathy towards those who had broken the law.

Despite deleting the original post, footage of Gomez crying has continued to circulate online. The White House seized on the controversy, releasing a video titled “Moms of Victims of Illegal Aliens SLAM Selena Gomez: You Didn’t Cry for Our Daughters” on Friday. The video features edited clips from Gomez’s original post, as well as interviews with three women who claim to have lost children to undocumented immigrants.

In her emotional Instagram Story video, Gomez apologized for her initial post, expressing sorrow for the children who are being impacted by the immigration crackdown. However, critics in the White House video questioned the authenticity of Gomez’s emotions, with one woman stating, “Seeing that video, it’s actually hard to believe that it’s genuine and real, because she’s an actress.”

The women in the video praised President Trump for his stance on immigration, with one saying, “I am so happy that Trump won. I’m so glad that this is one of the first bills to help with immigration.” Another woman accused Gomez of using her platform to garner sympathy for “lawlessness.”

Gomez’s representatives have not yet commented on the controversy. It remains to be seen how the singer will address the backlash and whether she will continue to speak out on political issues in the future.
