The White House delivered a sharp retort to Ariana Grande, cleverly referencing her own song titles after the pop star shared a post critical of Trump, targeting the over 77 million Americans who supported him.
“Save your tears, Ariana. Thanks to President Trump, Joe Biden’s inflation crisis is being tackled, leading to trillions in new investments,” stated White House spokesman Kush Desai, quoting a title from Grande’s remix with The Weeknd.
“He even took swift action, like magic, signing an executive order that allowed the FTC to take a stand against Ticketmaster for overcharging Ariana Grande’s concert fans. Wishing you a speedy recovery, Ariana!” Desai added.
At 32, Grande reposted content from podcast host Matt Bernstein on Sunday, which harshly criticized those who backed Trump instead of former Vice President Kamala Harris in the approaching 2024 presidential race.
“I want to reach out to Trump voters. I have a straightforward question: it’s been 250 days. With families torn apart and communities shattered, as trans individuals face rampant scapegoating, and free speech teeters on the edge — has your existence improved?” the post questioned.
“Are your grocery prices any lower? Have your health insurance costs decreased? Is your work-life situation looking up? Can you finally afford a holiday? And are you happier? Did the widespread hardship of others yield the results he assured you would, or are you still in limbo?”
Grande, who openly endorsed Harris, 60, over Trump in the previous election, continues to voice her political opinions in the public sphere.
