On Thursday, the White House introduced a new “Major Events Timeline” that aims to capture some of the most defining, and often tumultuous, moments in recent political history.
In a rather pointed display, the Trump administration took aim at the legacies of former Presidents Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden on its official website.
Bill Clinton and the Monica Lewinsky Affair
“The revelation of President Bill Clinton’s extramarital affair with intern Monica Lewinsky triggered extensive investigations into perjury in the White House, which ultimately escalated to impeachment proceedings for obstruction of justice.”
Biden’s Trans Day of Visibility
“In a notable moment in 2023, the Biden administration engaged with transgender activists at the White House and proclaimed the establishment of the “Transgender Day of Visibility”—a decision that conveniently coincides with Easter Sunday in 2024.”
“Additionally, renovations to the East Wing—launched in September 2025—will introduce a spectacular 90,000-square-foot ballroom capable of accommodating up to 1,000 guests, thereby improving state visit operations. This endeavor is funded through a blend of private donations, corporate backing, and contributions from none other than President Trump himself.”
The considerable $250 million investment will enable the modernization of offices and the inclusion of protective bulletproof glass while ensuring the conservation of the historic structure, which dates back to 1902,” an announcement from the White House revealed.
