A man allegedly attacked and attempted to sexually assault a woman on a Blue Line train on Chicago’s West Side on Saturday afternoon, according to police.
The incident occurred around 12:40 p.m. as the woman was heading west between the Cicero Avenue and Austin Avenue stops. Chicago police reported that the attacker approached the woman, engaging in a sex act and making sexual remarks. He then physically assaulted her and attempted a sexual assault. The suspect left the train at the Austin stop and escaped via the station ramp.
The suspect is described by police as a Black man aged between 40 and 49, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a medium build, short black hair, and a full beard. He was last seen wearing an unzipped black jacket, a plain white T-shirt, dark jeans with red and blue bandanas hanging from the back pockets, and white gym shoes.
