In Denver’s Central Park neighborhood, a vacant lot is undergoing a transformation into a new shopping center, with the main attraction being a 35,500-square-foot Whole Foods Market. The project, located at 3979 Central Park Blvd., will also feature an 11,800-square-foot district park, 373 parking spaces, and three one-story shops.
The Mulhern Group, a local architectural firm, has submitted plans for the development, which include two shops of approximately 7,800 square feet each and one shop around 7,200 square feet. These spaces can be used for retail or restaurant purposes.
Whole Foods Market has confirmed its presence in the area, promising to offer high-quality natural and organic products for the Central Park neighborhood. However, an exact opening date for the store is yet to be confirmed due to construction and permit processes.
The development is expected to be completed by the second quarter of next year, according to marketing materials from David Hicks & Lampert Brokerage. Nearby, other grocery stores like Sprouts Farmers Market and Trader Joe’s are also expanding their presence in the region.
The new shopping center will be strategically located between Quebec Square and The Shops at Northfield, adding to the convenience of residents in the area. It will be in close proximity to various other amenities such as the Credit Union of Colorado, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, and a QuikTrip gas station.
Despite multiple requests, The Mulhern Group has not provided any comments on the development. The firm, established in 1983, has a strong portfolio in various projects including office spaces, retail outlets, and entertainment developments like The Orchard Town Center and The District at Hampden South.
