A shocking video has emerged showing two robbers using a sledgehammer to smash the front window of a jewelry store in a London street that has gained fame due to the hit show “Ted Lasso.” The balaclava-clad crooks were captured on video repeatedly smashing the window of the family-run Gregory & Co. store in Richmond on Saturday. In the video, the duo can be seen grabbing the broken window and bending it out, before reaching in to grab gems and stuffing them into a big blue shopping bag. Staff inside the store can be seen reaching out through the smashed window in a bid to stop the robbers.
London police confirmed that the thieves “stole a number of items” during the robbery, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. As of now, there have been no arrests made in connection with the incident.
The brazen daylight robbery has left both staff and passers-by shocked. The incident took place on January 31, 2026, at the Gregory & Co. jewelry store in Richmond. The area where the robbery occurred has previously been used as a filming location for the popular Apple TV+ show “Ted Lasso.” In fact, the house where the character Ted Lasso lived in the show is located on the same street as the jewelry store.
The video of the robbery has caused outrage online, with many expressing concern over the safety of businesses and residents in the area. The footage serves as a stark reminder of the risks faced by small businesses and the importance of security measures to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
