Prince William Seeks Revenge on Meghan Markle for Betraying Queen Elizabeth II

Since taking the throne in 2022, Prince Charles, 76, has chosen to largely ignore the ongoing feud between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. However, his son Prince William has not been as forgiving. According to a source close to the royal family, William “loathes Harry and Meghan, that much is evident,” and has gained the support of courtiers who believe that Markle defied the queen’s final wishes, leading to a desire for revenge.

Precedent may be on William’s side in this matter. According to Master Graham Zellick, a professor of public law and tribunal judge, the titles of His/Her Royal Highness are honorifics that are bestowed by the sovereign. This means that the king has the power to withdraw such titles if he sees fit.

While stripping Harry and Meghan of their Sussex titles would be a more complicated process, as it would require the removal of a dukedom, it is not entirely out of the realm of possibility. This action would need to be approved through an act of Parliament.

Meghan has expressed the importance of the Sussex name to her and her family. In an episode of the show “With Love, Meghan,” she shared that she, Harry, and their children Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 3, now use Sussex as their last name. She emphasized the significance of having a shared family name, stating “This is our family name, our little family name.”

As tensions continue to rise within the royal family, it remains to be seen how Prince William’s desire for revenge against Meghan Markle will play out in the coming months.
