The hit Disney Channel and Disney+ series, “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place,” has been officially renewed for a second season. The show, which serves as a follow-up to the beloved Disney sitcom “Wizards of Waverly Place,” first premiered in October 2024 and has garnered a strong following.
Production for the new season of this Disney Branded Television series is set to kick off in May in Los Angeles. The show’s executive producer and star, David Henrie, expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from fans. In “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place,” Henrie reprises his role as Justin Russo and is joined by a talented cast including Janice LeAnn Brown, Alkaio Thiele, Max Matenko, Taylor Cora, and Mimi Gianopulos. The series follows an adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to live a normal life with his family. However, when his sister Alex brings a young wizard named Billie to his home for help, Justin must dust off his magical skills to mentor the aspiring wizard while balancing his everyday responsibilities.

The first episode of “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” broke records for Disney Channel, becoming the most-watched series premiere ever on Disney+. It garnered 3.2 million views within the first 12 days and also attracted 2.3 million views on YouTube.
