Marvel Studios has recently unveiled its exciting lineup of series set to premiere on Disney+ in 2025. The unveiling came in the form of a sizzle reel that gave fans a first look at what’s to come, including both live-action and animated series.
Kicking things off on Jan. 29 is the animated series “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.” This show will introduce new characters to Peter Parker’s story, such as Nico Minoru and Amadeus Cho, adding fresh elements to the web-slinger’s world.
Next up, on March 4, is “Daredevil: Born Again,” a continuation of the popular “Daredevil” series that aired on Netflix. The teaser provided a glimpse of familiar faces like Matt Murdock and Kingpin, as well as new characters like Muse, promising an action-packed storyline.
“Ironheart,” set to debut on June 24, follows the story of genius inventor Riri Williams, introduced in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” The teaser hints at a showdown between Riri and the villain Parker Robbins, adding layers of complexity to the narrative.
In August, fans can look forward to “Eyes of Wakanda,” an animated series that explores the Wakandan War Dogs’ quest to recover vibranium artifacts. This four-episode series promises to delve into Wakanda’s rich history and lore.
For something darker, “Marvel Zombies” will premiere in October, featuring beloved superheroes turned undead. This TV-MA animated show adds a chilling twist to the Marvel universe, offering a new take on familiar characters.
One of the most intriguing reveals from the sizzle reel was “Wonder Man,” starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams. The show takes a meta approach, with Simon initially auditioning to play Wonder Man, setting the stage for a comedic exploration of Hollywood and superhero culture.
Additionally, the third and final season of “What If…?” is set to debut on Dec. 22, exploring alternative storylines for familiar characters in the multiverse. This animated series promises to deliver more mind-bending adventures for fans to enjoy.
Despite earlier statements from Disney CEO Bob Iger about reducing Marvel’s output on Disney+, the studio seems committed to delivering a robust lineup of content in 2025. With a mix of live-action and animated series, as well as feature films on the horizon, Marvel fans have plenty to look forward to in the coming year. Be sure to check out the full sizzle reel for a glimpse of what’s to come.
