A Tragic Accident in Midtown Manhattan
Tragedy struck in midtown Manhattan when a 37-year-old worker lost his life in a devastating accident involving an MTA bus and a small boom lift. The incident occurred on Fifth Avenue around 9:30 p.m. as the man was working on changing a billboard atop a Victoria’s Secret store. According to law enforcement sources, the worker fell 20 feet from the lift after the bus collided with it on the sidewalk.
The injured worker was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he was tragically pronounced dead. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of his family.
