WWE official’s in-ring career is allegedly far from done

Professional wrestler Mickie James recently shared her belief that a WWE official, Nick Aldis, still has a lot left in his wrestling career. Despite not having competed in a match since October 2023, James expressed her optimism during an appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet. She mentioned that Aldis, who currently serves as the SmackDown General Manager, dreams of stepping back into the ring for WWE.

At 46 years old, Nick Aldis boasts an impressive wrestling resume, having held titles such as the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, and the IWGP Tag Team Championship throughout his career. Despite never wrestling for WWE, Aldis has made a significant impact in the world of professional wrestling.

In a recent episode of BroDown, former WWE head writer Vince Russo expressed his disappointment with WWE’s utilization of Nick Aldis. Russo, who has worked with Aldis in the past, believes that the talented wrestler should be in the ring showcasing his skills rather than playing an onscreen authority figure week after week.

Russo highlighted that Aldis’s potential is being underutilized by the promotion, stating that anyone could fill the role Aldis currently occupies. He emphasized the need for Aldis to return to in-ring competition, where his talent could truly shine.

With Aldis currently serving as the SmackDown General Manager and WWE backstage producer, the prospect of him returning to wrestling remains uncertain. Only time will tell if WWE decides to give Aldis the opportunity to lace up his boots and step back inside the ring for a match.

As fans eagerly await a potential in-ring return for Nick Aldis, the wrestling world continues to speculate on what the future holds for the veteran wrestler. Whether he remains in his current role or transitions back to in-ring competition, one thing is certain – Nick Aldis’s passion for wrestling and his desire to perform for the WWE Universe remains unwavering.
