XAI Releases Upgraded Grok 2 Chatbot Model on X Social Network

XAI, Elon Musk’s AI company, has recently unveiled an enhanced version of its flagship Grok 2 chatbot model on X, the social network previously known as Twitter. Despite facing a legal dispute with OpenAI, xAI continues to push forward with product releases, with the new Grok model boasting improvements in speed, accuracy, instruction-following, and multi-lingual capabilities.

The upgraded Grok 2 chatbot is now three times faster than its predecessor, offering users a more efficient and responsive experience. According to xAI’s blog post, the enhanced model is designed to provide enhanced performance and user interaction, catering to a diverse range of language preferences.

For users on X’s free plan, there is a limit of ten questions every two hours when interacting with Grok. However, subscribers to X’s Premium and Premium+ plans enjoy higher usage limits, allowing for more extensive engagement with the chatbot.

Alongside the release of the upgraded Grok 2 chatbot, xAI has introduced a new feature called the “Grok button” on X. This feature is aimed at assisting users in discovering relevant context, staying informed about real-time events, and exploring trending discussions within the social network.

Furthermore, xAI has made enhancements to its enterprise API, introducing two new Grok models with improved efficiency and multilingual performance. As a result of these improvements, pricing for the API has been adjusted to $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, offering a more cost-effective solution for businesses utilizing the platform.

In the coming weeks, xAI plans to integrate its image generation model, Aurora, into the API. Aurora, known for its unfiltered image AI capabilities, was recently launched on X as part of the Grok chatbot experience, expanding the range of features available to users.
