Xiaomi Unveils Pad 7 Pro with Matte Glass Screen at MWC 2025
At the recent Mobile World Congress 2025, Xiaomi made a significant splash with the launch of its Pad 7 series of tablets for the global market. One particular model that stood out from the rest is the Pad 7 Pro.
What sets the Pad 7 Pro apart is its unique matte screen, a feature that even the iPad Pro doesn’t offer. The Matte Glass Version of the Pad 7 Pro boasts an innovative “AG nano-texturing process and AR optical coating” that eliminates 99% of light interference and significantly reduces screen reflection.
According to Xiaomi, this technology reduces reflections by up to 65%, making the display virtually impervious to glare. During hands-on demonstrations at the event, the Pad 7 Pro’s matte screen proved to be highly effective in minimizing reflections, even under bright lighting conditions.

With a peak brightness of 800 nits, the Pad 7 Pro’s display is not only glare-resistant but also incredibly vibrant and sharp. The screen also features a paper-like texture that enhances the overall user experience.
While the UK price for the Pad 7 Pro Matte Glass Version has been revealed as £549 (a £100 premium over the standard version), it is not yet available for purchase in the official store. Xiaomi enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting its release.
