Xiaomi Delivers Android 15 Update to Global Users: What to Expect
Xiaomi is finally rolling out the much-anticipated Android 15 update to its global users. The update, currently available for Xiaomi 14 series, brings with it the HyperOS 1.1 software version. However, users outside of China will have to wait for the more advanced HyperOS 2.0, which is currently exclusive to the Chinese market.
According to reports from STechGuide, Xiaomi 14 users outside of China are starting to receive the stable Android 15 update. This update includes several fixes and improvements, such as enhanced layout handling on the Home screen, a smoother Recents menu, and adjustments to the Always-on Display on the Lock screen.
Despite these optimizations, the update is based on HyperOS 1.1, not the more advanced HyperOS 2.0, which is still in beta testing for Chinese users on the Xiaomi 14, 14 Pro, and 14 Ultra models. The global release of the update includes build OS1.1.4.0.VNCEUXM for European users and OS1.1.3.0.VNCMIXM for global users. Users can either wait for the over-the-air update or choose to install it manually.
While the Android 15 update for Xiaomi 14 users offers some useful tweaks, it falls short of the richer experience promised by HyperOS 2.0. International users will have to wait to see if this more advanced version will eventually make its way outside of China.
In the meantime, users can look forward to what Samsung’s One UI 7 has to offer as another popular Android 15 overlay. Stay tuned for more updates on the latest features and improvements coming to Android devices worldwide.
