Authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying a gunman who shot two individuals in Logan Square on Friday afternoon. The suspect, donning a distinctive Rolling Stones hoodie, opened fire in the alley behind the 2000 block of North St. Louis, leaving two victims hospitalized with gunshot wounds.

The assailant, described as a White or Hispanic male in his late teens to early 20s with a medium build and long black hair, fled the scene by running west through the south alley of Dickens Avenue and escaping through a residence in the 3500 block of West Shakespeare Avenue.

Chicago Police Department (CPD) is urging anyone with information on the suspect to contact Area Five Violent Crimes at 312-746-6554 or submit an anonymous tip at CPDTIP.com using reference number JJ358077.

CWBChicago was founded in 2013 by a group of residents from Wrigleyville and Boystown who were dissatisfied with the lack of accurate information provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage has since expanded to include areas like Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side neighborhoods, but our commitment to delivering original public safety reporting with depth and detail remains steadfast.
