Iain Armitage, best known for his role in “Young Sheldon,” is making a return to CBS in a guest appearance on the comedy series “Ghosts.” In this upcoming episode, Armitage will be playing a heightened version of himself participating in a high-stakes poker game at the mansion. The episode is set to air on April 16, 2026, after filming begins today.
Armitage gained fame through his role in “Young Sheldon,” a prequel to “The Big Bang Theory,” which concluded in 2024 after seven successful seasons. He made his debut in HBO’s “Big Little Lies” and has appeared in various films such as Netflix’s “Our Souls at Night,” Lionsgate’s “The Glass Castle,” and the indie film “I’m Not Here.” Armitage has also lent his voice to characters in animated features like young Shaggy in “Scoob!” and Chase in Paramount’s “Paw Patrol.”
The talented actor has received nominations for a Critics Choice Award for his lead role in a comedy series and a Teen Choice Award for breakout TV star. Additionally, Armitage was part of the “Big Little Lies” cast that received a SAG award nomination for best ensemble.
